Nest

Curlin - Marion Ravenwood by A.P. Indy

Nest is a contemporary American Thoroughbred racehorse who has made a significant impact in recent years, particularly in filly and mare races. Foaled in 2019, she was bred by Ashview Farm and Colts Neck Stables and is trained by Todd Pletcher for owners Repole Stable, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, and Michael House.

Nest’s career has been marked by consistent excellence and several high-profile victories. As a three-year-old in 2022, she emerged as one of the top fillies of her generation. She won the Ashland Stakes and finished second in the Kentucky Oaks, showcasing her talent against the best of her peers. Nest then went on to dominate the final two legs of the Triple Tiara, winning both the Coaching Club American Oaks and the Alabama Stakes at Saratoga. Her performances were characterized by powerful late runs and the ability to handle various distances. One of her most notable achievements came when she finished second against male horses in the 2022 Belmont Stakes, demonstrating her ability to compete at the highest level regardless of gender. Nest’s success continued into her four-year-old season in 2023, with more graded stakes victories. Her consistency and versatility have earned her comparisons to some of the great fillies and mares of recent years, and she has become a fan favorite for her determined running style and competitive spirit.
