About Ayesha

Ayesha is an artist specializing in graphite pencil artworks. Her style lays emphasis on realism and her works mainly comprise of photo-realistic portraits of legendary thoroughbred horses of the past and the present. The inspiration for her work stems from her love and admiration for the horse. She also has a deep sense of connection with each of her subjects and their stories as she herself is from a family with a history of horse racing, hailing from Bangalore, India.

Her art process, although free-flowing in nature, almost always begins with the eye because of her belief that it is the eye in itself that captures the ‘soul of the horse’.

Beautiful piece of art. Reminds me of the work of C.W. Anderson. I never thought I would see work to compare, but this does and more.
